About Mrs. Bertetto
Hello!
My name is Lisa Bertetto, and I teach Art in the Arthur-Lovington, Atwood-Hammond School District. I teach Jr. High and Grade School Art in Lovington. This is my seventh year in the district, and I would like to begin by telling you a little bit about myself. I spent most of my childhood in Sullivan, and I graduated from Lovington High School, so I am very familiar with the small town and small school atmosphere and really enjoy teaching here. I received my Art and Education degrees from Blackburn College in Carlinville. I have been married for nine years to my husband John, who is also a teacher, and we live and own a home in Sullivan. We also have a 6 month old named Jack.
I align my curriculum with the Illinois State Standards and expose the students to a variety of materials, and art processes. We also study artists, art history, and art from around the world.
As an art teacher, my goal is to provide my students with fun and educational experiences where each student can be creative and inspired! My classroom offers a positive atmosphere that encourages creativity and imagination!
I am excited to post my classroom-tested lesson plans as an aide for teachers, parents, art enthusiasts, as well as a record for myself! The projects are all organized by grade level, and I hope you enjoy looking through them!
I want all the students and parents to know that I love Art and hope the students learn and gain a love for art too!
Please feel free to contact me with any comments, questions, or concerns throughout the year. I am committed to helping your students learn and be successful in a nurturing environment, and I will do all I can to ensure this happens!
~Thanks for stopping by!
